It’s an pandemic that might kill.
Fast spreading… 18 March, first from Mexico now in 41 countries.  Over 10′000 cases and the spread is not yet due.
They call it swine flu,  the H1N1, and someone wants to rename it Mexico Flu.

Hot and Spicy..

I had fun trying my mum’s chilies recipe yesterday….. it was quiet an experience having to chop all the ingredients, prepare the chilies and grinding and cooking…  as a result… I have packets of chilies ready for Curry Laksa, Tom Yam, or Sweet Sour dishes…

Ingredient:

Dried chilies
Small red onions
Galangal roots (Lengkuas)
Curcuma longa (Kunyit)
Lemon-grass shots (Serai)

‘Foochow’ Red Rice Wine..

On the 1st day of Chinese New Year, we had Red Rice Wine with Chicken and Vermicelli (or known as ‘Hong Zao Mee Sua’) for dinner… This is about the only wine can be produced without license in Malaysia.  Made of glutenous rice, fermented through almost 1 month with yeast.
